Your story reminds me of how I was once gifted the collected works of the writer Idris Bazorkin, from a mountainous village of Ingushetia in the Caucasus by a Chechen refugee. It was an incredible act of hospitality by someone who had so much else to worry about, but he wanted to share his cultural heritage with me.
