Thank you for your kind words, Jose! As regards your question, there are multiple ways to look at it. This is more of an exploratory piece than an argument. Certainly there are Jews who feel that being a Jew not a matter of religion and is more about commitment to human liberation and freedom (and I tend to associate myself with that group) but we can't deny that many Jews feel it is precisely a religion or an ethnicity and that is fine too. Just like some people are secular and some not. The world needs all kinds:)
