I'm so glad that like me you share an interest in poetics (literary translation) as well as politics. I never understand why people insist on separating them. I agree that there are limits to Benjamin's conception but we should remember he never had the chance to fully develop his views, having been forced to commit suicide as the Nazi's approached.
