Hi Corrado, Thanks for insightful comment. I am intrigued by Lévi-Strauss as well. The distinction between shell and membrane is a great one and very helpful. If only those policymakers and politicians who create and police our borders were as insightful and attentive to the need for keeping these borders porous! Or perhaps they do know this but only when it serves their neoliberal economic interests.
