Fascinating! This “institute” recently send a generic email to me (and I am sure to many of my colleagues) encouraging us to apply for one of their workshops during which they would compensate us for our time and research. As you know, normally one does not get paid for attending a workshop so it seemed quite suspicious….this provides insight into where their money comes from
